I'll be honest, the only marathons I've ever completed have been while sitting on my couch and mainlining an entire series on Netflix.
That's definitely not the case for the awesome woman shown below. As a new mom to her first child, 7-month-old Grayson, Katrina Bolduc doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.
The yoga instructor and her husband, who is a Marine Corps veteran, love sharing their active lifestyle with their handsome little fella. Their hope is that by showing him from an early age how rewarding and fun a focus on health and adventure can be, he'll follow in their footsteps.
I don't think they'll have anything to worry about, especially considering how much the cutie loves being outside in the fresh air, as Bolduc explains to us here at LittleThings.
She goes on to say, "We are an active family and are so thankful for the opportunities to teach our son about the outdoors and physical activities."
Long before the couple brought little Grayson into the world, Katrina Bolduc found a passion for running marathons and competing in various events.
Of course, caring for such a young infant does make training for those competitions a bit more difficult now. It was an adjustment, but nothing Bolduc isn't prepared to tackle.
In fact, she does her best to include the sweet boy during her workouts!
"We did all of the running together with him in a BOB running stroller. I did all of my bike training in a stationary bike with Grayson right by my side with his toys."
What helps the most, though, is the support and encouragement she continues to receive from her caring husband. Without him, Bolduc's not sure she would have been able to continue competing at all.
Recently, she completed her first triathlon since having Grayson, her fifth overall. As she was standing at the finish line, she noticed her timing lined up with the little guy's eating schedule.
So, despite her previous reservations and fears about breastfeeding in public, she proudly provided his meal right then and there. She was shocked when not only did no one confront her or shame her, she was complimented and congratulated instead!
Her husband snapped a photo of the amazing moment, and it has gone viral with moms across the country cheering her on.
