Trinidad Flores wasn't your average man. He was kind, generous, and productive.
The Medford, Oregon man spent his time knitting hats for homeless people and premature babies in his hospital's ICU. Although you wouldn't know it at first, Trinidad was also homeless himself.
One day, he returned to his usual spot and discovered that his bike and trailer with knitting supplies and other goods had been stolen. Not only did Trinidad not have a home, but now he was left without the resources he needed to survive and help others survive too.
Quickly, news spread of the homeless man and his recent misfortune. Trinidad's community decided to repay him for his unsung kindness.
They set up a delivery station where people could drop off all sorts of knitting supplies to Trinidad.
In the video below, posted on February 27, 2017, Trinidad explains, "It means that the community supports the efforts that I'm trying to do, one hat at a time. Helping people stay warm, giving people hope. Now they're giving me that hope back."
Not only did Trinidad's community round up a bunch of supplies for him, but they also found something very close to his heart and presented it to him.
They were able to locate his bicycle and return it to him and in addition to that, they raised $500 at their donation site.
