As two children were playing in the backyard, they heard weird noises coming from a concrete drain pipe. When they went to investigate, they discovered that there was a turtle stuck inside.
They immediately ran to their father, who came to the reptile's aid. He captured the amazing rescue and posted the video to YouTube.
"When we were walking around the turtle pond, our kids noticed a turtle stuck down in a storm drain, so we went and got a net and came back to rescue him!" the man wrote on YouTube.
Here at LittleThings, we’ve seen our fair share of animal rescues (like the fox whose tail was caught in a fence and a dog who fell into an icy lake). These animals were all saved from certain death thanks to some heroic human — but this man's efforts to save a turtle prove that no living creature is too small for a second chance.
The man carefully lowers his net into the drain and is able to bring the turtle back to dry land and reunite him with the other turtles near the pond.
There’s nothing more heartwarming than seeing good-hearted people stepping up to save an animal in need. This will restore your faith in humanity!
