A loan officer named Joel Armstrong watched a mother duckling nesting her 12 babies from his office window in downtown Spokane. Nothing seemed too out of the ordinary — until Joel noticed the ducks hatching, and the mother having to leave to fetch water. The babies couldn't follow Mom, as they were stuck on the ledge about 15 to 20 feet up, where the nest sat.
Joel went downstairs to the sidewalk to help the feathered family, and to his surprise, two of the babies dropped into his hands as Mama Duck waited nervously at his feet. Joel dedicated the rest of his morning to seeing each of the ducklings off the ledge, one by one, as they jumped into his hands. He'd be there since 5:45 a.m.
Together, the banker and the mother duck led the babies to water as crowds formed — through the busy streets and finally home to the water. Simply incredible. Bravo!!!!
