We're only a couple of months into 2015, but I think it's safe to say Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' mega-hit "Uptown Funk" is set to be the song of the year.
It's hard to escape the catchy tune, but I'm not complaining one bit. Last year we were tapping our feet and non-stop smiling to "Happy," and this year we're all going old-school cool.
I expected a few good "Uptown Funk" covers pop up over time, but I don't think anyone saw the following awesome parody coming. In this video, British singer and actor Alex Boyé covers the popular song with a family-friendly version that everyone can sing along to.
Side by side with some super-funky seniors, Boyé has all the right moves, but the best part has to be when "The Dancing Grannies" show up. Boyé told Deseret News, "The favorite thing about making the video was watching all the senior citizens." And they definitely make it something special!
"It really solidified the [saying], 'You are only as old as you feel' " Boye went on to say, and I couldn't have said it better myself!
Don't you just love this awesome video? Go seniors! Please SHARE with all of your friends.
