When it comes down to the performance arts, it takes a special combination of skill and natural talent to excel. Many people think that a certain gift for grace and elegance is necessary to dance for an audience, for example.
But for these dancers, they need so much more than the average performer. There's no place for a fear of heights in this mesmerizing routine!
A California-based dancing troupe called Bandaloop has succeeded in putting quite the spin on what seems to be a regular routine. Dancers may look like they're leaping into the air and landing on a normal surface, but they're really landing on the vertical walls of buildings. It's dizzying to watch: we couldn't imagine being hoisted into the air many stories high, and prancing about with only a cable to hold us up!
But looking from the ground up, it's also quite a beautiful scene. The humans look like little specks in the air, moving through the air in slow motion. No wonder Bandaloop has attracted so many crowds! Here, the group performs in Boston.
