Vet Ranch Saves Sweet Dog From Death Row And Helps Him Heal

Growing up, my brother thought he would like to become a vet when he got older. His love for animals was definitely there, especially when it came to dogs. Every time he would spot a pup wandering on its own, we'd have to talk him out of taking them in. Of course, we wanted to help the poor things, too, but with a pretty big brood in our home already, we just didn't have the room.

Now with two strays of his own, he's realized he simply doesn't have the heart (or the stomach) for seeing so many heartbreaking cases cross his path. Luckily, there are plenty of other folks out there doing everything they can to make sure as many animals as possible are able to find health and happiness. Vet Ranch, a facility based out of Texas and helmed by the charming Dr. Matt Carriker, is one of those organizations that goes far above and beyond to help every single little critter they can.

The sweet boy below, Murphy, is just one of the many, many lucky dogs that enter into their care. Like so many unfortunate animals, Murphy was about to be placed on death row due to some health complications before Dr. Karri took him in.

One look at him and you can clearly see how badly he was suffering from some severe mange, but a closer look at his skin and insides showed even more nasty diagnoses were due.

Thankfully, each ailment was completely treatable and the cutie is now happily frolicking in a loving foster home.

Take a look below to see his transformation. And be sure to SHARE with all the dog lovers you know!
