It was purely by chance that Clint Berryhill was standing outside his home when a stranger approached him out of the blue.
He looked disoriented, was bloody and had no shoes. Clint asked if there was anything he could help him with, and the stranger said that he was lost.
Concerned, Clint called the paramedics. However, he also snapped a photo of the confused stranger and posted it online, in the Acreage Speaks Facebook page, hoping to identify the man who wandered onto his doorstep.
Clint never expected such a strong response to the post. He received tons of messages from strangers asking how they could help the man. They even helped track down his niece, who was able to provide more information about him: his name was Dave Stewart, and he'd been struggling lately.
She revealed that her uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer, and has been undergoing intense chemotherapy treatments. He has also lost his house and his car, and no one seems to want to help him.
But that changed with Clint's Facebook post. People have been scrambling to help this man, offering all kinds of donations.
