When kids are this young, they typically don't understand why mommy or daddy has to go away, especially when must leave to serve our country. To make sure his 2-year-old daughter didn't think he forgot about her, this military dad came up with the most wonderful and creative way to stay present in her life: he recorded himself reading her favorite bedtime stories! Now she can see him each night before bed, and have sweet dreams.
What these two do together at the :55 mark made me grin from ear to ear. This is such a great idea. I hope other military families with young kids see this… it would mean so much to their sons and daughters to get to see and have with their absent parent every night. Please SHARE!
