Golden Girls was a "TV Dinner" staple in my house. Growing up, we were only allowed to watch television during dinner on nights when my dad had to work late. When we did, we had to find a program that my older brother, myself, and my mother agreed on – which was actually more difficult than you'd believe during the pre-Netflix era.
More often than not, we'd find ourselves watching the hijinks of four of America's favorite senior ladies: Sophia, Blanche, Dorothy and Rose! It was the only thing we could agree on. (Yes, my brother loved The Golden Girls, too.)
