When motorist Vero Salgado saw an injured dog trapped on the side of a busy four-lane highway, she leapt into action to save it. The drama unfolded on the shoulder of the highway between Mexico City and Pachuca — and was all caught on camera!
In the video, cars on the four-lane highway speed by as Salgado waited for a brief gap in traffic before darting across the road. Once safely across the highway, the spooked dog initially tried to limp away, but Salgado was patient and coaxed the injured pup to come to her. Luckily, she was able to get her belt around the dog's neck and use it as a leash to carry the big dog to safety. The woman got her furry friend got back to her car and rushed to the local vet. The adorable dog is reportedly on the mend and doing well.
