Kate Hudson welcomed her youngest child, daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, on October 2, 2018. This is her first child with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.
The 39-year-old actress has two older sons: 14-year-old Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson and 7-year-old Bingham with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.
Kate is completely thrilled to have welcomed their new little one — and so is the rest of her family. Her mom, Goldie Hawn, even shared some parenting advice. A source told People, "[Kate's] always wanted a daughter so this is really a dream come true. And her big brothers are so excited — they'll be so protective and sweet to her always."
After giving birth, Kate announced baby Rani's arrival on Instagram. Three days later, she shared the very first photo of the adorable newborn — and she's absolutely precious.
Rani Rose may be only a week old, but she's already making quite a splash on social media. Check out the photo of the sweet baby girl below.
In the photo, Rani Rose is swaddled in a hospital blanket, and she's wearing an adorable hat on her head. "Our little rosebud," Kate wrote in the caption.
Kate was very active on social media throughout her entire pregnancy, sharing the ups and downs with her fans.
Alongside this photo, Kate wrote, "Visualizing and connecting to a healthy birth and my first filthy dirty martini."
Kate, who is the cofounder of the fitness brand Fabletics, stayed active throughout her pregnancy.
Toward the end of her pregnancy, she and her family even went on a trip to Tuscany!
Rani is Kate and Danny's first child together. Although they've known each other for 15 years, they only started dating in 2017.
On April 6, 2018, the happy couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Kate and Danny weren't the only ones excited about welcoming another family member; Kate's sons were thrilled to have a little sister on the way.
Kate's mom, Goldie Hawn, was also excited about having another grandchild.
Finally, after a long pregnancy, Kate welcomed little Rani Rose into the world.
"We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa," Kate wrote on Instagram. "Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor."
She continued: "Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back."
When Kate shared the first photo of Rani, her fans immediately left loving comments.
