UPS Worker Starts Facebook Page Just For Photos Of Dogs That Drivers Meet Along Delivery Routes

Because the internet is apparently as obsessed with dogs as I am, several Facebook groups exist where you can gush over your love of canines with like-minded individuals.

Some, like the infamous Dogspotting group, have a series of rules that allow members to rack up points for their crazy dog sightings. Others, like Cool Dog Group, are just a fun place to share memes, videos, and silly photos.

Recently, the internet accidentally stumbled on a different type of Facebook dog group entirely. This group, called UPS DOGS, is a place where UPS drivers all over the country congregate to share photos of the dogs they encounter on their daily routes.

In other words, being a UPS driver is my new dream job.

Organized and moderated by UPS worker Sean McCarren, UPS DOGS has been around for five years, and currently has over 204,000 devout, dog-loving followers.

Sean McCarren has been an employee with UPS for 17 years, and he told BuzzFeed News that one of the best parts of his job is hanging out with dogs all day.

"I wish we could just hang out with the families and their dogs all day, but it's just not feasible," Sean said.

Sean knew that many other UPS drivers felt the same way about the dogs they met on their routes, and so five years ago he decided to start a Facebook group where all of them could post photos of their canine friends.

Though Sean is the moderator and founder of UPS DOGS, most of the photos posted are submitted by other UPS drivers across the country.

People are so inspired by the UPS DOGS page that some have even shared stories of their own dogs' love for the UPS man in the comments.

"My dog was the happiest when we lived at this corner house — the UPS man would rev his engine up at the bottom of the street and she would run outside and chase his truck up to the end of the fence," one user commented. "Thank you guys for being so great!"

Every once in a while, someone will submit a dog photo that's… slightly out of the ordinary.

For the most part, these dogs just want to play and get their bellies rubbed! And who can resist those puppy eyes?

Some drivers admit to bringing biscuits with them on their routes, so it's no wonder that the dogs love them so much!
