These Hilarious Triplets Sing About Their Lives In The Classic MGM Musical ‘The Band Wagon’

While Singin’ in the Rain is regarded as one of the most entertaining movies in the history of film, the Golden Age of Hollywood-era studio giant, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer made several other musical films that should be just as respected.

Of course, the popularity of a movie has a lot to do with more than just the film itself. What’s going on in the world, the economy, everything down to the price of gas can have huge consequences on a film’s success! Even though The Band Wagon had an absolute all-star cast of characters, and its catchy songs were some of the best of all time, the movie just didn’t do well at the box office.

Even though the movie wasn’t a box-office hit, it was finally selected by the Library of Congress to be preserved forever thanks to its cultural and historical significance. Over time it has gotten quite a cult following, and today, the film is ranked by the American Film Institute at a respectable 17th place in the list of “Best Musicals of All Time.”

And when you watch this hilarious little scene from the film, you’ll see why so many people are beginning to give it the respect it deserves. With Fred Astaire, Nanette Fabray, and Jack Buchanan dressed up in tiny baby costumes, we couldn’t hold back our laughter at just how silly they all look!

On top of the amazing costume and dance number, the song itself is pretty amazing and really shows how rough triplets have it. Thank goodness people are keeping this film safe forever!
