College Student Yawns So Wide She Dislocates Her Jaw!

Holly is a college student. One da,y she yawned in class during a less than compelling politics lecture. That's when it happened. She couldn't close her mouth at all.

She frantically got a classmate's attention by tapping them on the shoulder. Unable to get her mouth closed, the two students stopped the lesson. The school nurse then promptly sent her to the emergency room, where she appeared on another unbelievable episode of BBC's Bizarre ER

Fortunately, Dr. Ejiro was cool as a cucumber. It was as if she had seen this bizarre occurrence a million times before. She knew exactly what to do. The condition needed to be addressed quickly. With the inability to close her mouth, Holly could not eat, drink, or speak. Apparently, when she yawned, she opened her mouth so wide her jaw dislocated. The solution was to get it to relax so that Dr. Ejiro could move it back into place. That's where 26 stacked tongue depressors come into play.

Dr. Ejiro carefully packed them in her mouth, wedging it open. In doing so, Holly's jaw got tired, allowing the doctor snap it back into place.

After a long wait, Dr. Ejiro was carefully able to relocate it painlessly for the student. Her advice to the girl was to not yawn so wide in the future!
