Shopping for Mother's Day can be nerve-wrecking, especially when there are just so many options available. Do you buy her an expensive bouquet of flowers, or maybe a pretty necklace? But on Mother's Day, there's really no better way to show your love and appreciation than with a special gift from the heart.
That’s why I think a nice made-from-scratch gift is always the best. When she opens her gift, she'll know it was made with love, and that's what really counts.
With Mother's Day just around the corner, I thought it would be a fun time to share this cute idea: a handmade photo bracelet. This is a wonderful charm bracelet filled with the photos of their loved ones. I think any mom or grandma would adore this sweet gift. This year, skip the drugstore card and craft a beautiful gift to say "I love you."
Check out the simple tutorial in the video.
Materials:
- Frame charms (I used 6 of these)
- Printed pictures
- Craft knife
- Mod Podge
- Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
- Toggle and closure set
- Silver jump rings
- Jewelry pliers
Directions:
- Print your pictures to the approximate correct size of the frame charm.
- Push photo into the frame. Trim around the picture, and make sure it will fit properly into your frame.
(*Tip: We drew a circle on the back of each photo, so we had a clear guide when cutting the photo.) - Glue the photos to the frames using Mod Podge. Allow to dry completely.
- Add a few drops of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to the tops of the photos. This creates a dimensional special effect to your finished projects.
- Use your pliers to add jump rings between frames.
- Next, add the toggle and closure to the ends of the bracelet.
- The photo charm bracelet is complete and ready to give as a gift to Mom or Grandma.
