Sometimes you'll get the chance in life to meet some truly beautiful and amazing human beings. There are the people who refuse to back down from whatever obstacle comes their way. These people always seem to have a golden aura around them, something that just seems to exude confidence and assuredness in themselves.
But unfortunately, sometimes it seems that life just isn't fair. When 17-year-old D'Marco Jackson of Virginia was asked to give a speech at his high school graduation, it was for a very good reason. Because of all the people who could inspire hope for the future, Jackson was clearly the best choice.
Just a year before, he had been given a grim prognosis of aplastic anemia, along with two different cancers attacking his bone marrow. Though the first rounds of chemotherapy managed to beat back the disease, as he's giving the speech in the video below he had just recently been told that his cancer was no longer in remission.
In spite of the fear and the obstacles, Jackson left his mark on history with a speech that went viral for all of the right reasons. While this young man had such an amazing future ahead of him, we're heartbroken to say that on April 19, 2016, this bright and shining light left us.
After a long and hard battle against the disease, Jackson's body finally gave out. While we'll always enjoy his video and speech, we're sad that he won't be able to go on to inspire others in new speeches as he grows old.
