Fran Drescher, 67, Shares She Has A ‘Rotation’ Of Friends With Benefits

When people think of Fran Drescher, many likely think of her iconic role in The Nanny. The actress has continued acting and is now the president of actors union SAG-AFTRA. Fran Drescher is also very much single — and recently dished on her “rotation” of friends with benefits.

Previously, Fran was married to Peter Marc Jacobson from 1978 to 1999. She then married Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai in 2014 before they split in 2016. Since then, Fran hasn’t announced any other exclusive relationships.

Fran Drescher evidently has a ‘rotation’ of friends with benefits.

During a screening of The Friend in late March, Fran spoke briefly with Page Six about her relationship status.

“I have a little rotation,” she told the outlet of her friends with benefits situation.

The 67-year-old then cheekily added, “I’m Fran Drescher. What do you think?!”

In 2020, she first spoke about having a friend with benefits.

Fran first addressed having a friend with benefits during an NBC press junket in 2020.

“You know, I’m kind of dating myself, and it’s going quite well. I’m not dating,” she told Page Six.

“I have someone on the side who is a friend with benefits,” she shared, explaining the arrangement was “more than enough.”

“[We’re] very comfortable with each other, and we have our routine,” Fran continued. “It’s always the same experience. We really don’t go out, we don’t go to restaurants, we don’t date. What we do, we do great.”

She offered details about what the relationship entailed.

Fran explained that she and her friend with benefits would “hang out” during their evenings together, which typically involved a dip in a hot tub.

“I make us some food and we lay in bed and maybe we’ll watch tennis together, whatever it is or a movie,” she told Page Six. “We talk, we have good conversations.”

She added, “Of course we have sex and it’s delightful and it keeps me going.”

Fran is also still close with her ex, Peter, who came out as gay.

During the 2020 press junket, Fran acknowledged her close relationship with her ex-husband, Peter. He came out as gay two years after their split.

“I have my gay ex-husband who I love and he fulfills a lot of needs,” she explained.

Back in 2011, Peter spoke with People about his and Fran’s “tight” relationship.

“We work together. Go out to eat. Travel together. I feel like I still have a wife,” he told the publication.

Previously, Fran spoke about her decision not to have kids.

In a March 2020 interview with The Cut, Fran expressed regret over not having children of her own despite being known for her caregiving role in The Nanny.

“I think I would have been a good mom,” she told the outlet. “And sometimes I think I kind of missed out on that.”

After getting diagnosed with uterine cancer, in 2020 Fran underwent a hysterectomy as part of her treatment.
