I grew up in a house that was always filled with pets. Plenty of cats, dogs, and other critters crossed our paths over the years, but when I made it to high school, I decided I needed an animal of my very own to care for. I didn't want to share them with the rest of the family, so I began researching smaller options I could keep in my room. I ended up getting a flashy beta fish, but after seeing the cuties in the video below, I'm sad I didn't go with a couple of guinea pigs!
If viral videos had been a thing back then, I'm sure I would have gone for the tiny fuzzballs rather than the cold, scaly fish. No offense to my beloved former pet, Ichabod (R.I.P.), but something tells me he would have not been a big a fan of playing "the floor is lava" or figuring out a maze like these guys. I want to snuggle up with all three of this family's adorable brood.
They place each one inside the small cardboard contraption and wait to see which one will make it to the end first. Initially, it looks like the black one will take the lead as he rushes out, but he is ultimately tricked by a dead-end. In fact, it ends up taking him longer than both of his siblings, something he's none-too-pleased about when he sees the treat waiting for them.
