Nearly 10 years after the tragic death of one of the world's most adventurous spirits, Steve Irwin is remembered fondly as the kooky "Crocodile Hunter." Though she was still quite young when he passed away from a deadly stingray blow at age 44, Bindi Irwin keeps her father in her thoughts each and every day as she and her family continue to honor his name and his incredible passion for wild animals at their Australia Zoo.
The 17-year-old has shown heartwarming dedication for following in Steve's footsteps, alongside her mom Terri and brother Robert. Even while stunning the audience as she and partner Derek Hough took home the winning trophy on Dancing with the Stars, Bindi made sure to pay homage to her beloved pop with some truly tear-jerking performances.
Bindi also frequently posts memories of her dad on Instagram, often referring to Steve as her "superhero" while continuing his spectacular legacy.
On May 21, Bindi Irwin's family will gather in Los Angeles for their annual Steve Irwin Gala, celebrating his conservation work and raising funds to carry on his mission with their nonprofit organization, Wildlife Warriors.
