If you know or are particularly close to a member in any branch of the military, then you probably know how important it is to thank these men and women for their service and sacrifice. They tear themselves away from their families and loved ones, and if they are deployed to dangerous parts of the world, they run the risk of getting killed in action.
Many of our brave servicemen and women have been lost in combat over the years, but it's not just their families who are finding ways to honor them. Perfect strangers recognize the enormous loss of each and every one, and want to show their compassion and respect. Even little children know that these people are particularly important! Check out these kids who interrupted their playtime to honor the Marine Corp!
One little Belgian boy had the same intention when Canadian troops were getting ready to march down a road on their way to a memorial service. The child was even decked out in uniform, and patiently waited for the soldiers to walk by him. And when they did, he raised his hand to salute him!
