These days, you can't go on Facebook without seeing another military homecoming video. And with great reason, they're extremely heartwarming — just watch this homecoming that doubled as a proposal! Military members often surprise their children or spouses with these homecomings. But as these videos always go viral, it's great to look at military send-offs as well.
With Memorial Day fast approaching, it's nice to look back at various different military send-offs and homecomings from the 1920s through the 1960s. Many people romanticize the 1950s and after looking through these retro military kisses, and we can't blame them. Despite the fact that these ladies were saying good-bye to their boyfriends and husbands for an unspecified amount of time, it's very clear in these photos that they're incredibly in love.
