Jimmy Fallon Challenges The Rock To A Hilariously Nostalgic Lip Sync Battle

Jimmy Fallon is one of those entertainers who will do whatever it takes to make sure his audience is enjoying themselves. He’ll go to such great lengths, in fact, that he doesn’t even mind shedding a little blood, sweat, and tears in the name of good television. That’s literally what Fallon did when he allowed actor Harrison Ford to pierce his ear onstage.

But if there’s one thing that really makes Fallon tick, it’s music. He’s never been shy about being a huge fan of musicians, especially those from the classic rock genre. On top of his affection for the industry, Fallon also takes every opportunity to show off his own musical chops. One of his most popular segments over the years, which was introduced by actor John Krasinski during one of his visits to the studio, inspired it’s own spin-off show: Lip Sync Battle.

It’s like karaoke but without actually singing along, which is probably a blessing when it comes to certain vocalists. The lack of microphones is also a great way to free up more space for choreography, something Fallon and his opponent, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, do with impeccable style during their hilarious battle.

Fallon kicks things off with Madonna’s 1989 hit “Like a Prayer.” He pulls out all the stops as he rushes around the stage and eventually dons a robe to join a chorus of backup singers. The incredible performance seems impossible to top, but the Rock is no stranger to stepping things up a notch.
