Charlie Gilmer may be homeless, but the classically-trained piano player refuses to put his love for the instrument aside. When you hear him below, you'll certainly understand why.
In the ABC Action News video, we see the Florida man show off his beautiful talent in front of anyone who wants to listen. And it's as incredible to watch as the video of the former Marine who went viral for playing piano on the street.
Gilmer, who has a master's degree in music performance, says he started playing piano around 3 years old by ear. A few years later, he says he started reading notes.
His talent later led to a performance at New York's famous Carnegie Hall. But Gilmer now plays piano for the homeless inside a church in Tampa Bay. Through his performance, he hopes to give homeless people much-needed comfort.
"I believe that it's our responsibility to give back to people who are less fortunate. Give them a sense of hope," Gilmer told the news station.
He later added, "In Jesus' name, I can do all things. You know, he gave you that passion. He doesn't give you talents that don't bear fruit."
Please SHARE to encourage others to also stick with their passion no matter what!
