I love when home design takes a creative, multipurpose turn. From the outside, Jason appears to be standing in front of a linen closet with adjustable shelves and typical function. But when he opens it up, he reveals a secret area where anything can be stored — like a safe containing valuables.
My favorite idea for its use, however, is a safe hiding place. That's right — should an intruder enter the home, this design is ideal for a non-discreet hiding spot for loved ones.
Jason says, "This is a fairly unique custom installation, conceived by the owner, then designed and built in-house at AT Custom Cabinets in Canoga Park, California. This home is very exclusive, and has already been rented to high profile celebrity, etc…who were never made aware of it and didn't figure it out despite living there for sometimes several months."
Is this something you'd like in your own home? I know I would!
