"Shocking" is a word that gets used too much, in my opinion. But when I first heard about Tampa Bay's miracle cat, shocking was the only word I could think of to describe it. Even though this story has a happy ending, it sounds like something straight from a Stephen King novel.
Bart is an adorable cat from Tampa Bay, FL who has suddenly earned a variety of nicknames, including "The Miracle Cat," "The Zombie Cat," and "Lazarus."
Bart's owners were heartbroken when they found out he had been killed by a car. They saw his stiff body, unmoving and surrounded by blood, and pronounced him dead. They even gave him a proper burial.
Dealing with the loss of a pet is never an easy thing. It rattles your system and it's hard to process, so imagine how completely bewildered they were when Bart came wandering back into their lives.
He had escaped the grave!

His owners were positive he was dead — they had even taken him to the veterinarian. Yet, five days later, he had wandered back into their lives.
This cat literally dragged himself out of his grave. Veterinarians say that he will need to undergo jaw surgery and one eye will be removed, but he will eventually recover.
