Stories about animal neglect and abandonment really infuriate me. I will never understand how a person can be so cruel and thoughtless as to just dump sweet, living creatures without any regard to their lives.
Sometimes people are unprepared to inherit pets, but there are always better options than throwing lives away. There are hundreds of rescues and no-kill shelters that will gladly take care of animals in need of homes.
Sometimes, though, these stories do have happy endings.
In Bozeman, MT, a box of ten puppies was found ruthlessly discarded in a dumpster. The good people of the Tiny Tails K-9 Rescue animal shelter took the puppies in and saw to their recovery. It was touch-and-go for a while, but eventually all ten pups pulled through and survived.
Within the year, all ten were adopted and in happy homes, but the shelter thought it would be fun to reunite all ten pooches.
This year, they did it again! All ten "dumpster puppies" were reunited once again to play, eat, and celebrate their rescue.

Thank God someone noticed these adorable dogs in the dumpster.
Two years later, these pooches are happy to be in forever homes and to get to see each other.
They have even started planning next year's reunion.
They kiss, shake hands, and sniff their old friends as they play.
The dogs were dumped when they were just three weeks old, but the older they get, they don't seem to forget to their "brothers" and "sisters."
The reunion took place at the "Know Thy Dog" training center. These "dumpster puppies" are so well-behaved!
I wonder who the terrible monster is who dumped these puppies, but I'm thrilled that two years later, this has a happy ending after all.
Thank God for great humanitarians like the people at Tiny Tails for serving as a halfway house for these pooches.
Have you ever rescued a dog? Do you think they miss the dogs they knew when they were puppies? I frequently think about that.
Here's to many more reunions! Soon, they'll start bringing the puppies and the grandpuppies too!
