The Samoyed is an incredibly beautiful dog species that originally hails from the freezing climate of Siberia. They were born and bred to act as herding dogs for reindeer! When they weren't busy shepherding the giant beasts, they were perfect to pull sleds for their owners.
Their fluffy coats, while admittedly gorgeous, take a lot of rigorous groomingvery smart and incredibly loving to their human families. They're very social animals, need a lot of stimulating activity, and are known for being amazing with small children.
This video proves just how comfortable these amazing dogs are with their human friends. Torkel, the puppy in this clip, is just too sleepy to go anywhere else. She's so comfortable with her human friend that she happily drifts off to sleep right on top of him.
Watching this video just makes me want to curl up under my sheets and fall asleep as quickly as possible!
