The older matriarchs and patriarchs of the family offer so much.
They hold its history, they unite all the family members, and they help create the next generation of parents and grandparents.
If families are lucky, they are able to have grandparents and great-grandparents around for a long time. This way, they get to meet new cute, little family members and watch them grow up and make their way into the world.
Fortunately, Marie Frey has had the pleasure of seeing her family flourish into a huge happy clan, like this family of 10 did.
And she has gotten to meet many adorable grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren.
In fact, her family has gotten so big that the number of her newest great-grandchild happened to coincide with her age!

At age 86, Marie Frey has created quite a family.
Raised in Upper Sandusky, OH, she had 15 children with her late husband, Gerald.
From them, a staggering amount of family members have been brought into the world.
There are 68 grandchildren in the mix, including two sets of twins, and six step-grandchildren.
But this seems small compared the 86th great-grandchildren that Frey has!
Though it is quite a crowd, Mary loves being with her big, beautiful family.
"She came from large family and Grandpa did, too," explain Kenny Frey to ABC. "My wife and I also wanted a big family."
And recently she was introduced t0 her 86th great-grandchild, little Blakely Frey!
What's more impressive is that Marie got to meet her mere days before her 86th birthday!
The perfectly timed bundle of joy was born on June 23, and is Kenny and his wife Holly's fifth daughter.
The amazingly extensive family is also expecting two more children soon from Frey's sister and cousin, making baby numbers 87 and 88.
As the family continues to flourish, they are thankful that Marie is still able to enjoy the big, beautiful, happy family that she helped to start!
