Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Have Reportedly Revealed The Gender Of Their Baby

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first baby soon, and people are dying to find out the baby's gender. While the couple has yet to make an official announcement, Us Weekly reports that Meghan spilled the beans to friends at her baby shower.

Drumroll please! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly expecting…  A BOY!

For months, it seemed that everyone was certain that Meghan and Harry were expecting a girl. Harry made a couple of comments about how he was hoping for a girl. Bookies who place bets on the baby's gender were so certain that it would be a girl that they closed betting.

Since then, there have been a number of mixed messages. Meghan explained at one point that they're keeping the gender as a "surprise," even for themselves.

That said, a source told Us Weekly that Meghan told her friends the baby's gender at her baby shower in New York last month.

They have, however, hinted at the baby's possible gender more than once.

For example, one time Prince Harry told a young fan, "Everyone is predicting it's going to be a girl."

Shortly after, he admitted that he, too, is hoping for a girl.

Hoping is not the same as knowing, but fans were pretty sure that these statements were a sign nonetheless.

By mid-January, bookies had become so certain that the baby was a girl that they suspended bets. But then Meghan told an elementary school fan that the couple doesn't even know the baby's sex themselves yet, according to People.

"We don't know whether it's a boy or girl, we are keeping it as a surprise," she said.

Then Meghan celebrated her baby shower in New York last week. Her close pals were all there, including Abigail Spencer and Jessica Mulroney.

There were mixed messages at the shower regarding the baby's gender. On the one hand, both of Abigail's gifts were wrapped in blue.

On the other hand, most of the flowers and decorations at the baby shower were pink.

At this point, the couple might just be trying to confuse the heck out of fans — or maybe they really don't know the baby's gender after all!

Relatedly, a source told Vanity Fair last week that Meghan and Harry plan to raise their baby as gender fluid. With that revelation, people started to speculate that maybe the baby's sex doesn't matter much to the couple.
