Barbra Streisand and Hugh Jackman’s Duet Captures ‘The Moment’

Any moment now, he will notice me with my butterfly heart… no one could have delivered these lyrics better than legendary Barbra Streisand, who understands firsthand the marriage and flow between music and the stage, as well as the big screen.

As a longtime, seasoned actress, Streisand says she loves to sing songs that enable her act, so she came up with the song “Any Moment Now,” about a couple who can’t communicate. In the heartfelt song, Streisand is accompanied by actor-singer Hugh Jackman.

“Singing is really about communicating, and when I listen to Hugh’s voice, I hear a truth in his performance that I find very touching,” Streisand explained.

Jackman, a multitalented Australian actor, is most known for his superhero role as Wolverine, but the beautiful man has a great set of pipes (among his good looks!), which we have seen when he played Jean Valjean in Les Misérables.

Jackman's wife, who is a huge Streisand fan, was over the moon (and screamed) when she heard the news. She told Jackman that he “had to do it!”

“I was like how on Earth did this happen… but of course I have to do it!” Jackman added.

Jackman admits that at first he was worried about his delivery, but then he realized that Streisand didn’t worry about the notes or the intonation, but all she wanted was a sense of truth in the song’s delivery.

“I have so much respect for Hugh Jackman,” added one YouTube user.

Fans on social media also recalled Streisand's impressive talent over the years.

“Listening to Barbra Streisand brings back all the memories growing up listening to her music. Magical,” commented Becky Silaban on YouTube.

“Yes, still one of the most decadent voices of all time,” added another YouTube user.
