Bill Belichick Calls Rumors About His ‘Controlling’ Girlfriend ‘Ridiculous’

Over the past couple of years, Bill Belichick’s relationship with his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has drawn significant attention for several reasons. The most obvious one is their extreme age gap. Bill is 74, while Jordon is 25. People have become increasingly suspicious of Jordon and her reason for dating someone nearly 50 years older than she is.

Reports have also fueled persistent rumors that she’s controlling and overly involved in her boyfriend’s professional life. During a recent interview, Bill called the rumors “ridiculous.”

Last year, it was reported that Bill had asked people to include Jordon in emails sent to him.

The story took off when reporter Matt Hartman posted an email Bill sent to someone in the University of North Carolina’s communications department. In the email, Bill asked the staff member to include Jordon on any emails sent to him.

During a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Bill acted like the reports and rumors that emerged after this email went viral took the request out of context and made it into something that it wasn’t.

He claimed he was really busy at the time and had a lot to keep track of.

According to him, Jordon’s inclusion in these email conversations had nothing to do with his North Carolina Tar Heels coaching role. “When I took the job here, it was December, and at that time I was doing five TV shows, the radio show, I had a book coming out,” he told the Wall Street Journal.

“I had a lot of other things going on when I took the job,” he continued. “So, I sent an email when I got here and I said, ‘Can you please forward any requests to Jordon about my personal appearances so that I can work and coordinate them outside the university?'”

People seemingly took this to mean that Jordon was heavily involved in just about everything. But Bill claimed that his request to have Jordon copied in those emails “didn’t have anything to do with the university.”

He called the resulting narrative “a flat-out lie.”

The story became much larger than what Bill says it actually was. “Well, that was leaked as released as ‘Jordon’s involved in every single thing that I do and she’s copied on every email,'” he told the publication. “That’s just a flat-out lie.”

He also said, “The way the story was picked up was a long way from that. Like, ‘She’s trying to be the general manager of the team,’ and it’s so ridiculous.”

The way Jordon acted during Bill’s CBS Sunday Morning also raised concerns about the role Jordon might be playing in his professional life. During that interview, the reporter asked Bill about how he met his girlfriend. Jordon interrupted and said, “We’re not talking about this.” She was described as “a constant presence” during the interview, even though she wasn’t on camera, which led to rumors that she’s trying to exert too much control over Bill.

Bill has dismissed these rumors in the past, but he doesn’t comment on his controversial relationship super often. During an appearance on Hang Out with Sean Hannity, Bill claimed that the edits made to the CBS Sunday Morning interview were “deceptive.”
