If something isn't broke, don't fix it right?
Should that phrase really apply to a home? Surely houses deserve a facelift more than every 40 years.
Like this house in Middlesex, U.K., that is entirely purple inside, one Massachusetts home has been hiding a secret for quite a while.
After moving into a home built in the 1970s, one family enjoyed the layout and design of the house so much that they decided never to change it. Not a single thing has been updated in the house.
Not the shag carpet, vibrantly patterned bathroom, or the yellow kitchen. It's still fit for Austin Powers to move in if he ever decided to retire from being an international man of mystery and move to the suburbs.
You can see the house in all of its 1970s glory below!

From the outside, you'd never expect this house to be hiding a '70s lover's dream.
It looks like your average suburban home!

But that shag carpet and wood paneling tell no lies.
Despite living in the house for 20 years, the owners who are currently trying to sell the home have never updated the furnishings.

Can you picture '70s royalty Mary Tyler Moore sitting down to eat dinner in this dining room?

Every piece of decor in this home was customized by the original owner after the place was built.
Even though the current owners haven't changed anything, they've perfectly preserved this decade in their home.

The living room might be able to pass for the '80s or early '90s, but this bathroom is '70s to it's core.
Have you ever seen wallpaper that screamed "groovy" before today? Me either!

You might not naturally want this much lime and yellow coloring in your kitchen, but for a home that is committed to a theme, it manages to pull it off.
