For a parent, having a sick child is like a living nightmare come true. It's the last thing in the world that they want to happen and, when it does, it's often a very overwhelming situation to be in.
There's nothing that can help in this situation, other than a cure to whatever it may be that is ailing their child.
And, despite how they're feeling in their own heart, parents have to keep it together for their children so that their little one doesn't get scared or feel helpless.
It's such a tough situation to be in.
Thankfully, there are doctors and nurses who dedicate their lives to helping families during this rough point in their lives.
For Macey Wright, her heart issues began at birth, when she was born with a congenital heart defect.
At 14 years old, Macey began showing signs of heart failure, and was in desperate need of a transplant.
So when her mom got the call from the hospital that they had a possible heart for Macey, she pulled out her camera to film what she knew would be an overwhelming reaction.
As soon as she broke the news, Macey broke down. She was finally getting the moment that she'd been waiting for, and it was incredible!
