Humans aren’t the only ones who need a little help from their parents when learning to do some new things.
The world can be a scary place when you're so young and newborns need all the help they can get when going through new experiences like eating, sleeping, walking and talking. As you can see in this precious video of a mother duck teaching her babies to swim, animals even need a little guidance when it comes to things you think would come natural.
There's not much more touching than mom or dad teaching their baby something new (like this dad who shares his love for fishing with his little girl). However, we don't always get to see this happen in nature, so when we do catch such a sweet moment on camera, you know it's something special.
In the following clip, which was filmed by explorer and photographer Jeffrey Reid, we see a mother raccoon and her baby outside of Reid's home. While I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan of wild raccoons, what this mama does with her little one is way more "aww"-inducing than the ones I've caught rummaging through my trash late at night. The baby needed a little help learning to climb trees and luckily for him, mom was right there to show them the way.
