It turned out that the video was controversial because it showed the Navy-women inappropriately using official safety equipment. The video also showed some momentary shots of the ship's nuclear power plant, which according to Pentagon rules should not be shown to other countries.
While the women should have known better, you can't be too angry at them for making such an entertaining video. While they broke some official rules, it wasn't anything alarmingly horrible that they did.
Anyone who has ever served in the Navy is well aware of how monotonous and even boring it can be after months of being out at sea. Members of the Navy have to find ways to entertain each other, and this hilarious video assuredly got a laugh out of everyone onboard!
