Didn’t Like Hit Song “Blurred Lines?” You May Prefer “Church Signs!”

Remember Robin Thicke’s unfortunate summer hit of 2014, "Blurred Lines?" It was everywhere for most of the months of July and August, culminating in a notorious appearance featuring Miley Cyrus at the VMAS.

If the images from that event are still flashing before your eyes, please enjoy this pet-themed Miley parody as a palette cleanser. It helps; it really does.

But if those undeniably-creepy lyrics are still stuck in your head, we have something else to help you out. Just replace every instance of the phrase "blurred lines" with "church signs," and go from there!

It worked for the hilarious minds behind this parody! Eliminating all of Robin Thicke’s inappropriate lyrics, this parody uses the catchy tune to poke gentle fun at a phenomenon familiar to many church-goers: cheesy church signs.

Oftentimes, the sign outside of a local church is a beautiful way of spreading the congregation’s message and inviting newcomers to join. The letters are typically removable, and are often switched up to display a Bible verse, or the schedule of the coming week’s services.

Occasionally, the church in question has a sense of humor. While mixing fun and faith often has amazing results, it can lead to slightly silly signs, ones which lean heavily into the comedic territory of puns.

This parody of Blurred Lines provides a mild satire on the hilarity (intentional or otherwise) of some of the hokiest Christian wordplay we have ever seen!

If this cracked you up, please SHARE with your congregation for a good laugh!
