When I think back on my birthday parties as a child, I remember eating pizza with all of my friends, playing pin the tail on the donkey, handing out awesome goodie bags, and most importantly, blowing out the candles on my cake to make a wish!
I was so prepared when it came time for my friends and family to sing happy birthday to me that there were multiple times when I got too excited and blew the candles out way before the song was over!
I don't remember exactly what I would ask for when I made my wish, but I'm sure it had something to do with Barbies, clothes, and beanie babies!
It can take a few years to master the art of being the birthday boy or girl, because when you're only turning a year old, you're most likely more interested in trying the cake for the first time than anything else.
Although this 2-year-old now knows about the singing before making his wish and chowing down, he unfortunately has not had enough practice in blowing out his candles.
After a few adorable attempts, Dad finally gives him a little help, and we hope all this sweet little boy's wishes came true!
