Adopted Chinese Twins Separated At Birth Reunite In America

Anna and Ella were separated at birth and brought to America by different sets of parents in 2006.

They lived hundreds of miles apart: Ella moved with her new family to Michigan, while Anna resided in North Carolina with hers.

However, their adoptive families, who met during the adoption process, kept in touch over the years.

Ella's mother, Teresa Cuares, and Anna's mom, Karen Kandl, even spoke frequently on Facebook and would exchange photos of their little girls.

"Every time she would post a picture of Ella, I'd think to myself, that looks a lot like Anna," Kandl told ABC News.

However, one day, Kandl noticed that the girls shared the same October birthday. She emailed Cuares wondering if there was any possibility that their daughters were related.

Both sets of parents agreed to a DNA test and discovered that Anna and Ella weren't only sisters, but fraternal twins!

Seeing them interact in the video below, it won't be hard to believe that they are related (much like the twin brothers who reunited after 70 years).

"It's just something amazing for our daughter and being an only child now she has a sister that she's desperately wanted," Cuares said.
