That's why when I saw how one Imgur user brought his game night to the next level with an amazing DIY project, I was totally impressed. With a quick trip to the hardware store and a few spare hours, he was able to create the coolest board game table I've ever seen!

Imgur user "Shiboleth" began his DIY game station by creating a simple table out of some wood from the hardware store.
He then glued some oak boards to the inside of the table, giving it extra support.
He added a second oak board to even out the frame completely.
Our DIY-er then sawed and prepared the legs of the table.
He stained everything with a gorgeous cherry color.
Next, he added removable wooden slats to adjust the size of the gaming board.
He finished the removable dining top.
Moving forward, he put down some thick blue neoprene fabric to create the surface of the gaming table.
Our DIY-er added a quick stain and seal to the bottom of his table.
The finished product works perfectly as a dining table...
But break out the board games, and it shines as the perfect playing space!
It easily fits up to six players, so there's room for the whole family.
For any fan of "Settlers of Catan," there's space for all your friends from work to come and play with you. Better still? The table is big enough that you can get multiple games going simultaneously.
