There's nothing I love more than a dramatic dog videos, but this one takes the cake.
A few years back, David Letterman invited Mike and his beagle, Bailey, onto the stage during his "Stupid Pet Tricks" segment to show off their signature trick. Besides his adorable face and unassuming demeanor, Bailey has a special gift trick when it comes to playing dead, unlike any canine companion you've seen before. While Letterman describes beagles as snarky, he has no idea just how right he is until it's time for Bailey's big on-screen moment.
"Bailey… play dead." When Mike calmly says these three simple words, Bailey takes an old-as-time dog trick and takes it to a whole new level of hilarity. Bailey falls lifeless and limp in Mike's arms on command, suddenly comes back to life, and then "dies" again (coming back to life so he can enjoy his much-deserved treat). The audience goes wild, and even Dave himself cannot contain his laughter.
It's no wonder Bailey cemented himself as a viral video superstar. This video has over four million views on YouTube alone!
