The Kurek kids were in for a wonderful surprise during school one day at Valley View Elementary School in Rockford, MI.
Their mom, Elise, returned home after seven months of medical training in the Army. Mrs. Kurek decided to pop up and surprise her little ones at a school assembly.
Of course, they had no idea what was coming since they expected her home later on that night. And, similarly to the Army Private who unexpectedly showed up to his mom's job, it's certainly a moment that will tug at your heartstrings.
The minute the young children spot their mom, it's clear how much they've missed her all the months she was gone. Her daughter especially couldn't hold back her emotion as tears flooded her eyes. The heartwarming reaction is reminiscent to the 7-year-old cheerleader who broke down the minute she saw her Navy dad.
"I was expecting just to go see my kids and pull them out of school, but this was way more than I expected," Elise said in the video shared by USA Today.
Michigan's WZZM 13 reported that Elise would have two weeks to spend with her family before heading back.
