These three brothers, Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, were more than just pop stars. They wrote and produced most of their own songs, as well as wrote some songs for other artists of the time throughout their career. They started in the late '50s, when they formed a rock band together. After some transformations within their band and their sound, they gained a huge following in Australia. Soon after, in the late '60s, they gained international fame. Having sold over 220 million records worldwide, the Bee Gees are one of the top-selling artists of all time.
In 1969, Robin Gibb quit the group to start a solo career after things got rocky. The group then took a short break until they decided to get back together just in time for disco!
