Watch The Three Stooges Go Ice Fishing In Their Typical Wacky Fashion

Every generation has their own brand of comedy. Your parents might not have ever understood your favorite comedy show, and you may never understand the next generation. However, there is something timelessly hilarious about the comedy of The Three Stooges.

The Three Stooges didn't start off as the act we've all grown to know and love. They started out as a vaudeville group called Ted Healy and the Stooges, and Curly wasn't even a part of it. His older brother, Shemp Howard, held that spot until he decided to pursue a solo career. Eventually, Moe Howard, Jerome (Curly) Howard, and Larry Fine left their leading guy, Healy, to become the iconic group that we recognize today. That's when they teamed up with Columbia Pictures to make two-reel shorts.

In this clip, the trio sets off to go ice fishing. As one might predict, outrageous physical comedy ensues, with everyone ending up underwater at some point. The exaggerated gestures and wonky sound effects are exactly what you would expect from this crew, and no matter what's hip in the comedy world right now, this is always sure to give you a good laugh.

If you've never given this infamous group a shot before, now's the perfect time. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed! It doesn't matter where you're from, and it doesn't matter how old you are, physical slapstick comedy is a universal language.
