Dying hair ombré has been in style for quite a while now, and it doesn't seem like it's going away anytime soon. Sometimes the fade from dark to light is subtle and elegant, but it can also be as bold as you want it to be. Some people choose to add crazy colors to their ends, while some opt for more natural colors. It all depends on your own personal style! That's the best part of beauty trends… everyone can take it to whichever level they're comfortable with.
Hair isn't the only thing that can be ombré. You've seen ombré nails and ombré fabrics all over the place… but what about ombré lips?
Tons of people think that lipstick is just a one- or two-step process to top off their makeup routine, but it can be just as ornate as painting a smokey eye or contouring your cheekbones with foundations, blushes, and bronzers. Why wouldn't you want to highlight one of your best assets?

You can turn a classic red lip into something special by adding a darker shade to the corners.
Just a little something extra to start.
Or, you can give the illusion of bigger lips by using more of the darker shade on your top lip.
It's a low-key way to amp up the volume.
A nude ombré is the perfect way to ease your way into this trend.
If you're the type to dip your toes into the pool before jumping in, give this a try first!
This inside-out ombré gives off a high-fashion vibe that you can still rock on the sidewalk.
Casually stepping up your lipstick game with rosy-pink and nude shades.
You can also take shades of pink and change it up with a side-swept ombré.
No one will see this one coming, but the color keeps it classic.
But... if you’re feeling extremely bold, try an unconventional color, like blue.
It's the same exact technique as the first ombré, just with a more extreme color.
Just because it’s unconventional doesn't mean you can't use it!
If you want to pull it off, you can.

Turn your lips into mini works of art using two totally different colors for the ombré effect.
Bonus points for metallics.
Or, try a total ombré gradient from the top of your upper lift to the bottom of your lower.
Because who ever said you couldn't have it all?
It doesn’t have to be so dramatic, though.
This subtle chance from deep purple to shimmery lilac is also very, very cool.
Fading into a nude shade is also sure to catch some attention.
A beautiful bronze into a color close to you skin tone is perfection.
Using almost every single color of the rainbow will definitely turn some heads, too.
If that's your style… go for it!
Use a little bit of glitter with a darker shade of purple in the corners of your mouth to create a little galaxy.
This would also be incredible in a dark blue or green.
And last but not least, this incredible look is my personal favorite.
Turn goth into glam with a touch of bronze in the center of your lips. Add a little shine on top and you're ready to take on the world.
