Waitress Walks 14 Miles To Denny’s Each Day Until Couple Returns After Their Meal—With Free Car

Adrianna Edwards works as a server at Denny's in Galveston, Texas. She lives about 7 miles from the restaurant — a quick 30-minute round-trip commute by car.

But for a long time, Adrianna didn't have a car. She is currently in school and had been saving money to eventually buy one.

Every day, she walked 14 miles to get to and from Denny's. Some days she'd walk up to seven hours!

All that time spent walking took precious time away from studying for her college exams.

But for Adrianna, all that extra hassle simply became her routine. She accepted what she needed to do in order to achieve her ultimate goals.

"I have bills to pay," she told CNN. "I've got to eat."

"You've got to do what you've got to do."

Then one day, an anonymous couple sat down for breakfast in Adrianna's section. They all got to talking, and the couple learned about Adrianna's plight and how she was trying to save up enough money to buy herself a much-needed car.

The couple left Denny's after finishing their meal — but a few hours later, they returned with a surprise for Adrianna.

At first, the confused server thought they were playing a cruel joke …
