Lately, Crystal Harris has been speaking out about her relationship with Hugh Hefner and opening up about some of the things that she kept to herself prior to his death. During these discussions about abuse and the dark realities of Playboy Mansion, she has also directed her criticism at some of the other men in Hugh’s circle.
One of these men is Jon Lovitz, who Crystal has described as the “No. 1 customer” at Playboy Mansion.
Jon has been dismissive of some of Crystal’s claims about her relationship with Hugh.
He has also defended Hugh outright. In July, Crystal posted a video about why she regrets marrying Hugh when she was 26 years old and he was 86. “I regret the years I spent making myself smaller so his world could feel bigger,” she said in the video. She listed several other reasons why she has regrets, including the fact that it took her “as long as it did to understand what was actually happening.”
In response to this vulnerable video, Jon asked, “Do you regret the house he bought for you to live in, after his death? And keeping the money, after you sold it? And all the times your mother was at the mansion? And do you regret all he did for you? And do you regret leaving him and then coming back to marry him?” (per Page Six).
Crystal called Jon a “lurker” who she saw at “every party.”

According to her, he’s actually “one of the biggest pervs” in the entertainment industry. During a recent appearance on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, Crystal said, “He would be up there all the time. His eyes would go front to back [looking at] all the women that walked through the door at the party.”
Jon appeared to respond to these claims in a video obtained by Page Six. “Any time someone says I’m No. 1, it’s a compliment,” he said. He also praised Hugh, calling him “one of the nicest, most generous people I’ve ever met.” According to him, “all of his friends know” this too.
Hugh’s widow called Jon out for his sexism and misogyny.
To her, his dismissive attitude about her comments comes from a very “outdated” (and sexist) way of thinking. “Jon Lovitz had mentioned to me that Hef had bought something for me or paid for something and that I have no reason to speak because of that,” Crystal told Page Six. “I think his thinking is very outdated.”
She also touched on how harmful his logic is. “That’s really sad that, just because someone buys you something, it guarantees silence,” she told the publication.
So, in her eyes, Jon is very much part of the problem because of his “toxic masculinity.” She said, “I think Jon Lovitz is part of the problem. I think many men who came up to that mansion [and] were very sexist and misogynistic are all part of that problem.”
Crystal also recently spoke about how people’s positive perceptions of Hugh made her feel invalidated and like she couldn’t come forward. The way people spoke highly of him made leaving him feel more difficult as well. She felt like something was wrong with her. Now, years later, she continues to speak out about her experience and isn’t holding back, even when faced with pushback from Jon and other critics.
