After Andy Reid brought kicker Justin Tucker to the Kansas City Chiefs following accusations of sexual misconduct by 16 massage therapists, he had to expect some sort of blowback. And it did come in the form of internet pitchforks and angry comments, especially after he willingly addressed a question about what message it sends to women that he agreed to bring Justin to the team.
Andy spoke about the decision in a press conference that was shared on X (formerly Twitter). During the press conference, Andy seemed to double down on bringing Justin on as a member of the team’s practice squad. Before he joined the Chiefs, Justin was a placekicker for the Baltimore Ravens. Following his off-field controversy, joining the Chiefs’ practice squad marks a major return to the NFL.
Andy Reid spoke out about signing Justin Tucker to the Chiefs.
#Chiefs HC Andy Reid faced five straight minutes of questions about Justin Tucker today, including what message his signing sends to female fans of the team. "He’s done his suspension. Took care of his business there. I’ll leave it at that." Full back-and-forth exchange below: https://t.co/QeOJOkWQ8r

Justin hadn’t played in the NFl since 2024, when he was let go from the Baltimore Ravens amid controversy involving allegations from the massage therapists, who claimed he engaged in inappropriate physical contact with them. So when Andy announced Justin joining the Chiefs, even in the practice squad, it drew a lot of questions. Mainly one, in the press conference, about what message the move sends to female sports fans.
“He’s done his suspension,” Andy said in response. “Took care of that business there. I’ll leave it at that for you.”
He also explained, “We try to do our homework the best way we possibly can and talk to a lot of people and make sure things are OK.” He also reiterated that “the kid,” in reference to 36-year-old Justin, served his time through a suspension from the NFL.
“It’s been time,” Andy added. “There’s been time involved with it. That’s how I evaluate it.”
He was called out for his response.
If i ever burn all my bridges in life, im gonna go to Andy Reid, hat in hand, and ask him for help.

But things didn’t end with Andy seemingly saying his piece on the matter. In the comments under the video from the press conference on X, someone wrote, “Ahhhhh yes because serving a suspension magically dismisses the trauma he put 16 women through! C’mon Andy.”
Another person commented, “‘I did my homework’ is a crazy take to have, especially when you refuse to elaborate when someone asks about it.”
The conversation continued on Reddit, where people continued to call out the Chiefs coach.
“When asked what homework he did: ‘I mean I’m not gonna get into all that,’” a Redditor commented on the post.
“Living in Baltimore, Tucker’s tendencies were well known before it came out in the media,” another person added. “Clearly there was no homework done.”
Someone else wrote, “Simply not an acceptable answer and the feckless media in the room just let it stand. Embarrassing all the way around.”
Justin was not charged or convicted of any crimes related to the allegations.
Justin Tucker was accused of misconduct with multiple women.
According to NBC News, the Ravens released Justin from his contract in late 2025. Prior to that, he had been involved in a long list of sexual misconduct allegations. The Baltimore Banner reported that multiple massage therapists came forward at different times to accuse for the former Ravens kicker of exposing himself to massage therapists and left what some believed to be bodily fluids on the massage table. They also alleged that Justin brushed his genitals on them during the appointments.
“Mr. Tucker has never behaved inappropriately during any massage therapy session, and certainly never in the manner described by The Banner’s reporting,” his lawyers at the time. “Any suggestion to the contrary is a fictitious and utterly baseless claim.”
Justin has not been charged with any crimes related to the allegations and he has publicly maintained his innocence.
