If you're still putting together that perfect Valentine's Day outfit, we've got the perfect hairstyle for you! If this heart ponytail didn't quite do the trick, this romantic mermaid heart braid is a hairstyle you're sure to fall in love with.
For the hearts of this hairstyle to really pop out, use wet hair. Take a slim section of hair on each side of your head, at the very front. Use pomade to make these sections sit on top of the rest of your hair. Tie them together with an elastic at the back of your head.
Take another section of hair of equal size from under one of the first ones. Once again, run the pomade over the strands. Then, while holding the top section in one hand, take two fingers of your other hand and place them underneath it. Loop the loose section under your fingers and then in between them, and pull the section through. Do the same on the other side of your head, and tie the loose sections together. This is your first "heart!"
Repeat these two steps two more times to create a total of three hearts in your braid. After this, you can style the rest of your hair in any way you like. Clip a red bow to the bottom of the last braid and curl the loose hair for an even more romantic touch!
