Epstein Files Link Ghislaine Maxwell to 2007 Disappearance of Missing Girl Madeline McCann

In 2007, the world was utterly gripped by the disappearance of toddler Madeline McCann. The 3-year-old, who was on holiday with her family, vanished from her hotel room while her parents reportedly dined at the resort where they were staying. For years, speculation drove countless theories, with everyone pointing a finger at someone else in or close to the McCann family. I remember the countless investigative reports and seemingly endless documentaries picking apart every aspect of her alleged abduction — so much so that I didn’t think there was a stone left unturned.

A little under a decade later, however, the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files may lead to a major break in the case, revealing that McCann’s disappearance could be directly tied to Epstein’s partner in every way, Ghislaine Maxwell.

According to newly released documents in the Epstein files, Maxwell, who essentially helped Epstein successfully traffic children, was spotted by an unnamed eyewitness who reported seeing her with McCann.

As The Hindustan Times reported, the witness told the FBI in 2020 that while walking home from a shop in 2009, they saw a woman who fit Maxwell’s description holding hands with a little girl who’d be about McCann’s age.

“There was also a middle aged man with them but he was walking much further ahead. When I got up close to the girl I noticed she looked like Madeline McCann. The woman was trying to hurry her along and seemed agitated that I was there,” the witness’ statement reads.

The witness went on to share that a Facebook post about Maxwell being connected to McCann’s abduction years later made them realize they may have actually seen the two together. The witness decided to report it to both local authorities and the FBI, recalling that the child was covering her right eye the whole time. That is significant, as McCann had a rare condition called coloboma that made her right pupil distinctive.

According to We Got This Covered, people are now also once again analyzing an E-fit witness composite image generated by private investigators, noticing a striking similarity between the described woman and Maxwell herself.

It is important to note that authorities have not verified any connection between Maxwell and McCann at this time.
